Vitex (PhytoPharmica) ‑‑‑ 1 twice a day. Works via the pituitary gland and helps stabilize and normalize the secretion of other hormones. Reduces prolactin levels and lowers the estrogen/progesterone ratio. Give it 3 months to regulate.
Indoplex (PhytoPharmica) — Take 1 a day. Helps prevent the build up of 16-hydroxyestrogen.
Melatonin 3mg ‑‑‑ 1 capsule 30 minutes before bedtime and then 1 capsule right at bedtime.
VitaGen (HealthCare Supplements) Ginseng ‑‑‑ 1 twice a day (morning and noon). Helps with ovarian atrophy or hypo‑function (adaptogenic).
Femdiol Plus (Medicine Man) ‑‑‑ 1 twice a day (contains phytoestrogens to support female glandular functions).
Flax Oil ‑‑‑ 1 tablespoonful once a day
Krebs Zinc Chelates ‑‑‑ 1 three times a day with meals (helps with abnormal menstruation).
Soy Extract (PhytoPharmica) 100mg — Take 2 capsules once a day.
Lifestyle: A more common than usual problem in young teenaged girls is “insulin resistance.” The high carbohydrate and junk food diet of America is causing the doorways to the insulin acceptance to remain shut. This results in a number of endocrine imbalances, including excessive weight gain and irregular periods. In this case adding Chromium Picolinate 200mcg to the daily regimen will be of benefit.
